The Academy for the Mathematical Sciences has launched the recruitment process for its Chief Executive. This key role will guide the Academy as it evolves into a fully operational National Academy.

The Society invites interested parties to submit their CVs for consideration to join the Journal of Simulation (JOS) editorial team. The new Co-Editor-in-Chief would be expected to cover analysis methodology, including risk and uncertainty quantification, techniques for variance reduction and sensitivity analysis. The deadline for expressions of interest is 16 August 2024.

This week is Small Charity Week, which is an ideal opportunity to highlight the many benefits of our Pro Bono OR programme for charities. This initiative connects our volunteer operational researchers with small charities, helping them enhance their efficiency, impact, and decision-making processes.

AFROS was founded in 2016 to create a regional OR Society in Africa like those societies in the other four continents. It holds conferences every 3 years and this year's the conference will be held at the University of Tlemcen, Algeria from 3 - 5 November 2024. The closing date for paper submissions for this conference is 20 July, 2024.
