Training for PhD Students – NATCOR

NATCOR is an independent educational institution, approved by The OR Society, that offers PhD-level courses for PhD students in operational research, as well as business analytics, statistics, finance, engineering, and computer science.

The courses are taught by leading experts in the subject area, and consists of a mix of lectures, practical sessions, and group work. NATCOR courses are primarily aimed at first and second year PhD students based in the UK, who have priority when registering.

However, the courses are open to third and fourth year students, and those studying outside of the UK. For those who are already in the industry, but wish to register for a NATCOR course, the registration fees will likely be higher – contact NATCOR to find out more.

The ORS will be sponsoring several NATCOR bursaries during 2026. These will cover the course registration fee only. Any additional costs incurred (including accommodation and travel) will NOT be covered. You can find the eligibility guidelines and how to apply here.
