Data Science Connects

Data Science Connects is a connected community of The OR Society, a member-led organisation that supports professionals working in operational research and data science across all industries and academia. We promote the understanding and use of these disciplines in every aspect of life, including business, government, healthcare, and education.

As a registered charity, The OR Society—together with Data Science Connects—helps specialists advance their fields through publications and events, and runs outreach programs to show the benefits of operational research and data science to everyone from business leaders to schoolchildren.

Committee Structure

The society’s governance and programme delivery is led by two elected groups: general council (up to 36 OR Society members directly elected by the membership) and board (up to 11 OR Society members, with society officers directly elected by the membership and the remainder elected from general council by general council members).
